Prof. Vladimir CHIGRINOV wins the 2018 Slottow-Owaki Prize
Vladimir CHIGRINOV, Professor Emeritus of ECE, has won the 2018 Slottow-Owaki of the Society for Information Display (SID).
The award citation is "For his educational efforts in the field of liquid-crystal devices, as evidenced by his teaching, supervision of graduate students, and prolific publications and conference presentations." The award was presented during the SID Honors and Awards Dinner on May 21, 2018 in Los Angeles, USA.
The Slottow–Owaki Prize is awarded for outstanding contributions to the education and training of students and professionals in the field of information display. The award is made by the Board of Directors acting on the recommendation of the Honors and Awards Committee and carries a stipend of US $2000.
