Prof. Vladimir CHIGRINOV has been Elected Institute of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (IDSAI) Distinguished Fellow

Prof. Vladimir CHIGRINOV has been elected Distinguished Fellow of Institute of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (IDSAI).

Prof. CHIGRINOV has more than 42 years of experience in academia, management and as an international leader. He was recognized by the World Technology Evaluation Centre as an Expert in Flat Panel Technology in Russia in 1994.  Prof. CHIGRINOV joined HKUST in 1999.  He became SID Fellow since 2008. 

Prof. CHIGRINOV published 6 authored books, 31 reviews and book chapters, about 313 journal papers, more than 662 Conference presentations, and 116 patents and patent applications including 35 US patents in the field of liquid crystals since 1974. He received A Slottow Owaki Prize of SID in 2018. He was awarded 2019 Distinguished Fellow of IETI (International Engineering and Technology Institute) and has been appointed as the Vice President of IDSAI for 2020-2024.
