Prof. Zexiang LI Won “2018 Leader of the Year”
ECE Prof. LI Zexiang was awarded the 2018 Leader of the Year in the category of “Education/Professions/Technology & Innovation" from Sing Tao Newspaper Group. The Awards Presentation Ceremony was held on 26 March 2019. The President of HKUST, Prof. Wei SHYY was among the events’ award presenters including Chief Executive Mrs. Carrie LAM and Financial Secretary Mr. Paul CHAN.
The Leader of the Year Award is organized by Sing Tao News Corporation Limited every year and it has entered its 25th anniversary this year. Five categories of Distinguished Leader of the Year winners were honoured at the gala event. The five categories are the Commerce & Industry/Finance category, the Community/Public Affairs/Environment & Conservation category, the Education/Professions/Technology & Innovation category, the Sports/Culture/Performing Arts category and the Young Entrepreneur prize.
The awards recognize the achievements of the winners who have made outstanding contributions to promote Hong Kong's development, linking the city to Greater China and the international community, and enhancing the international image and status of Hong Kong.
