Prof. Ross MURCH received the School of Engineering Teaching Excellence Appreciation Award 2020-21.

Established in 1994-95, the Award recognizes the outstanding teaching performance of engineering faculty who demonstrated exemplary insights and efforts when it comes to reinventing engineering education.

Prof. MURCH joined HKUST in 1992 and he is now a Chair Professor.  His research contributions include more than 200 publications and 20 patents on wireless communication, the Internet-of-Things, MIMO antenna design and systems, energy harvesting and acoustic systems and these have attracted over 14,000 citations with an h-index of over 50 (Google Scholar). His unique expertise lies in his combination of knowledge from both the signal processing and electromagnetics areas. He is a Fellow of IEEE, IET and HKIE .
