Prof. Mansun CHAN received the 2022 Academic Achievement Award from the Taiwan Association for Academic Innovation (TAAI)

Prof. Mansun CHAN, Alex Wong Siu Wah Gigi Wong Fook Chi Professor of Engineering and Chair Professor, received the 2022 Academic Achievement Award in recognition of outstanding performance in the area of emerging semiconductor devices and the contribution to innovative  industrial applications from the Taiwan Association for Academic Innovation (TAAI).  The award is based on his work in demonstrating the first Stacked FinCMOS structure and made significant contributions to transfer the technology within the industry in Taiwan 2021.  The Stacked FinCMOS structure is a promising approach to go beyond the 1nm technology node in transistor scaling which is currently being investigated by major foundries and research institutes.  The award is given out in the 11th TAAI and 10th IEEE International Conference on Science, Education, and Viable Engineering (IC-SEVEN) in January 2023.
