Prof. Man Wong named a 2023 SID Fellow

Prof. Man Wong named a 2023 SID Fellow for his outstanding contributions in the field of TFTs and active-matrix devices, including metal-oxide TFT and low-temperature polycrystalline silicon TFT.

His invention of elevated-metal oxide TFTs and fluorination of the channel greatly improves the lifetime of such TFTs.

Prof. Wong is currently Professor of the Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering and Director of the State Key Laboratory (SKL) of Advanced Displays and Optoelectronics Technologies. He was at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he obtained his BS and MS degrees, both in Electrical Engineering and received his PhD in electrical engineering from Stanford University.
