Yan Cheng received the B.Eng. degree in Electronic Science and Engineering from Nanjing University in 2020, and the Ph.D. degree in Electronic and Computer Engineering from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) in 2025, supported by the prestigious Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme (HKPFS). After serving as a Postdoctoral Fellow at HKUST from 2025 to 2026, she was appointed as a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering in 2026. Her research focuses on wide-bandgap GaN device technology for high-efficiency power conversion and RF amplification, spanning advanced design, fabrication, characterization, and reliability physics.
