Dr. John Kwan Wing

Dr. John Chan currently is the Director of East & West Region of CLP Power Hong Kong Limited, and has been the Director of Technical Services since 2017, overseeing various technical functions including telecommunications, telemetry, metering, protection engineering, power quality and systems engineering, electrical services workshop, security, etc.  Dr. Chan is a member of the IET Hong Kong Branch Committee and was the past Chairman of the IET Hong Kong Electronics & Communications Section.  He is also a Fellow member of the HKIE, served as the Chairman of HKIE Electronics Division (2019-2021), and was a HKIE Council member (2022-2024). He has also served as a HKIE Professional Assessor since 2015. 
 

Dr. John Chan graduated from Queen’s University, Canada, in Electrical Engineering (Computer Engineering Option), obtained his MBA from Chinese University of Hong Kong, graduated his Master (MSc) degree in Electrical Engineering from Polytechnic University of Hong Kong, and obtained his DBA from Swiss Business School.
