PhD Students Zhao YAN and Yu HAN Won the Best Paper Award at the 2019 International Nano-Optoelectronics Workshop (iNOW 2019)
The paper "Multi-heterojunction InAs/GaSb nano-ridges directly grown on (001) Si" by Prof. Kei May LAU and her PhD students, Mr. Zhao YAN and Mr. Yu HAN, won the second place of Best Paper Award at the 2019 International Nano-Optoelectronics Workshop (iNOW 2019). The Workshop was held in Guangzhou and Shenzhen during 20-28 July 2019. One First Place Award, two Second Place Award and five Third Place Award were presented among 60 posters.
Prof. Kei May LAU was invited to give a speech on "In-plane III-V Nano-lasers directly grown on patterned SOI" at the iNOW 2019.
iNOW offers a unique platform of "long and immersive engagement among researchers from academia and industry who are involved in nanoscale photonic and optoelectronic materials, devices, and applications, where in-depth discussions and arguments take place, collaborations form, and personal friendships develop."
