HKUST Robotics team successfully defended the Championship in the ABU Robocon 2017 (Hong Kong Domestic Competition)

The HKUST Robocon sub-team won the Champion in the Asia-Pacific Robot Contest 2017 (ABU Robocon) - Hong Kong Domestic Competition, which was held on 18 Jun 2017, after a keen competition with 11 other teams from the universities and tertiary institution.

The Robocon sub-team was formed by 28 members with different nationalities and from different engineering departments. Through the competitions, team members have established long and close relationships with each other. This time, a lot of alumni who participated in the previous Robocon competitions also came to support our Robotics team on the contest day. A strong team spirit between the existing and former members has been built and maintained for years.

The HKUST Robocon sub-team will represent Hong Kong to participate in ABU Robocon 2017 in Tokyo, Japan on August 27, 2017. The theme of this year is “The Landing Disc”.
