ECE student WICAKSANA Jeffry won the President's Cup 2016

A team comprising WICAKSANA Jeffry, student of Electronic and Computer Engineering (ECE) and IWASAKI Kenta, student of School of Engineering, won the President’s Cup, the top prize, for their project titled “Synthesizing Handel-esque Musical Pieces using Novel Corpus Extraction Methods with Deep-Recurrent Neural Networks”.

 

HKUST President's Cup was launched in 2002 as an annual event for undergraduate students to compete for the University's awards with outstanding achievements in innovative research. It offers students a golden opportunity to take up the challenges of research and innovation.
