Best Student Paper Award Finalist in IPC 2017- Xianbo LI

In IEEE Photonics Conference (IPC) 2017, ECE PhD graduate, Xianbo LI, was selected as one of the five Best Student Paper Award finalists. IPC is the IEEE Photonics Society’s annual summit and flagship conference, and there were over 350 papers presented in 2017, including about 150 invited talks.
 
Best Student Paper Award candidates are nominated through a careful peer review process, and then are decided by the selection committee in a closed presentation session. Each finalist will receive a certificate and a monetary award.
 
Xianbo LI graduated from Prof C. Patrick YUE’s group in 2017 with research interest in visible light communication (VLC) system design and integration. The title of his paper presented in IPC 2017 is “A 2.2-mW 24-Mb/s CMOS LiFi Receiver System-on-a-Chip with Ambient Light Rejection and Post-Equalization”.
