Ph.D. Tsinghua University

Wenpeng Zhou received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Automation from Tsinghua University, China, in 2017. He received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Tsinghua University, China, in 2022. From 2022 to 2024, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow working with the Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, where he is now a Research Assistant Professor. His research interests include wide-bandgap semiconductor technology, power semiconductor devices, and DC grid technology.
Dr. Zhou has won the High Impact Paper Award of Proceedings of the CSEE in 2023, the China Invention and Entrepreneurship Award Project Award (Bronze Award) in 2023, and the Best Conference Paper Award (2nd Prize) at the 18th International Conference on AC and DC Power Transmission in 2022. He was a recipient of the 2022 Outstanding Ph.D. Graduates Award of Tsinghua University, the 2022 Outstanding Ph.D. Graduates Award of Beijing, the 2022 Outstanding Doctoral Dissertations Award of Tsinghua University, and the 2021 National Scholarship for Graduate Excellence.
