Dr. George Yuan received his PhD degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PA, in 2006. Dr. Yuan received his BS in Electronic Engineering from Tsinghua University, Beijing, in 2000. Since Aug. 2006, he joined the Electronic and Computer Engineering Department at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) as a tenure-track faculty.

Dr. Yuan is a Senior Member of IEEE. He is the Chair of the Analog Signal Processing Technical Committee under IEEE CAS Society. He is an Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Biomedical Circuits and Systems. Dr. Yuan was the Chair of the Biomedical Circuits and Systems Technical Comittee under IEEE CAS Society. He served as Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems II: Express Briefs, and Guest Editor of IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems I: Regular Papers. Dr. Yuan was a Technical Program Committee Chair of the IEEE Biomedical Circuits and Systems Conference in 2009.
