Profile
Dr. Lin Hong joined the Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, as a Research Assistant Professor in 2026. He received his B.Eng. degree from Shandong University of Science and Technology in 2017 and his Ph.D. degree from The Harbin Institute of Technology (Shenzhen) in 2024. From 2023 to 2024, he was a joint-training Ph.D. student at the Technical University of Munich (TUM), Munich, Germany. He was a Postdoctoral Fellow at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology from 2025 to 2026. His research focuses on marine robots, robotic vision, active perception, and sensorimotor policy learning.
