CHEONG

Dr. Ricky Cheong is a seasoned technology executive with over 30 years of experience leading digital transformation and innovation across Hong Kong's commercial and public sectors. He currently serves as the Head of Information Technology at the Hong Kong Science & Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP) . Prior to his current role, he held various senior leadership positions, including CEO of Henderson Data Centre Ltd. He has consistently bridged the gap between cutting-edge technology and practical business application,  he has led the technical implementation of Hong Kong's first commercial AI High-Performance Computing Centre, as well as the launch of the territory's first Electronic Payment Services utilizing Palm Vein recognition technology.

Dr. Ricky Cheong holds a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) from Southern Cross University, Australia, where his research earned a Highly Commended Paper Award from the Emerald Literati Network. He also holds an MBA from the University of Hull and a BSc in Applied Computing from Hong Kong Metropolitan University. He is a Fellow of the British Computer Society and Chartered IT Professional (FBCS CITP) and a member of the Hong Kong Computer Society (MHKCS).
